Vol. 322 No. 5

Written Answers. - Public Buildings Accessibility.

38.

asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if he will state in respect of all public buildings used by each State body for which he is statutorily responsible if easy access to such buildings by means of ramps, lifts or otherwise does not exist for persons using wheelchairs; if so, if he will indicate the name and location of each building; the services provided therein; and the plans, if any, to improve the accessibility of the buildings to persons using wheelchairs.

The only such body for which I have responsibility is the Agency for Personal Services Overseas which is located at 29 Lr. Baggot Street, Dublin 2. The building, a former Georgian residence rented by APSO, has neither ramps nor lifts and there are no plans at present to provide such.
