Vol. 322 No. 5

Written Answers. - Post Office Savings.

426.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the reason for the delay in the issue of a duplicate post office savings account book to a person (details supplied) in County Cork, which was mislaid on 28 August 1979 and reported lost on that day; and when this will issue.

It was found necessary to investigate withdrawals made from the depositor's account during the month of August 1979. The depositor has now given a full discharge from all claims in respect of the withdrawals in question. A new book showing the balance remaining will be issued to the depositor in the next few days.
