Vol. 322 No. 9

Written Answers. - County Donegal Home Improvement Grant.

447.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in the payment of a home improvement grant to a person (details supplied) in County Donegal; and if he will have the payment issued without further delay.

There is no record in my Department of an application for a house improvement grant from the person named. However, an application has been received from a person of the same surname and address but a different Christian name, which may be the case in question.

Any delay in dealing with this case is due to the huge number of grant applications being processed at present. A grant will be paid when an inspection has been carried out and the inspector can certify that payment is in order. The inspection will be carried out as soon as possible.
