Vol. 322 No. 9

Written Answers. - Disability Benefit.

483.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare the reason for the delay in the payment of disability benefit to a person (details supplied) in Dublin; and when payment will be made.

The person concerned claimed disability benefit from 26 March 1980 and was paid from 29 March 1980, fourth day of incapacity, to 8 April 1980, when he was certified fit to resume work. A cheque in payment of the full amount due on the claim issued on 16 April 1980. It was reported to my Department, however, that the cheque was not received by the claimant. Following the necessary inquiries a replacement cheque issued on 3 June 1980.
