Vol. 322 No. 9

Written Answers. - Rates Relief for Farmers.

109.

asked the Minister for the Environment the number of farmers in Tipperary South Riding who are adversely affected by the removal of the agricultural grant from farmers with between £40-£60 rateable valuation, and if he will indicate the revenue which is expected to accrue from this removal.

There are 1,170 rated occupiers in South Tipperary with land valuations between £40 and £60. The extra cost of giving rates relief to these rated occupiers in 1980 would be about £333,000.
