Note: Road Grants notified to the county council on 16 February 1979 amounted to £2,187,000. Supplementary grants of £100,000 and £50,000 were notified on 9 September and 8 November respectively bringing the council's total grant allocation to £2,337,000. Both supplementary grants were for national primary improvement schemes.
