The cause of the delay is that the person concerned, who claimed unemployment benefit on 3 November 1980, is not qualified on the basis of his contribution record. Inquiries are necessary to establish whether he has sufficient contributions in respect of insurable employment to enable his entitlement to unemployment benefit to be determined. When these inquiries are completed his claim will be dealt with immediately. In the interim an application form has been issued to him to enable him to claim unemployment assistance.
