Vol. 324 No. 7

Written Answers. - Dublin Day Care Centre

356.

asked the Minister for Health if he is aware of an application made recently to the Eastern Health Board for a medical day-care centre on behalf of old people in the St. Francis Xavier Parish area, Dublin; if he will take a sympathetic interest in the application; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I am aware that discussions are taking place between the Eastern Health Board and the St. Francis Xavier Social Centre Committee about this matter. The board would view the establishment of a day care centre as a useful addition to the existing range of community services in the area, and, subject to agreement on the detailed arrangements, the board will give a high priority to the proposed project in the allocation of the resources which may be available to it in 1981.
