Vol. 324 No. 8

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take business in the following order: No. 7, Votes 10, 12 and 39 (resumed) and 44, No. 8 (resumed), No. 9 (resumed), No. 10 (resumed), Nos. 11 and 12. Business will be interrupted at 3.30 p.m. to take Nos. 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 and the order will not be resumed thereafter. Private Members' Business will be taken from 7 to 8.30 p.m., No. 18 (resumed). It is proposed by agreement that Votes Nos. 10 and 12 in No. 7 will be taken without debate on the understanding that they may be discussed at a later date when Vote No. 6 is being taken.

Has the Taoiseach decided when the House will go into recess for Christmas and when it will resume in the New Year?

Will the Taoiseach be able to give those details to the House reasonably soon so that we can make arrangements for looking after our constituencies?

Yes. We will facilitate the Deputy's Christmas arrangements to the best of our ability.

Do I take it that the Taoiseach will be present in the House tonight during the discussion on the Private Members' motion?

(Interruptions.)

Yesterday I gave notice that I wished to raise on the Adjournment last night the matter of the school transport problem in County Donegal but it was ruled out of order for certain reasons. Could I now give notice that I wish to raise the subject matter of the amalgamation of Birdstown school and Bridgend school in County Donegal.
