Mr. Donnellan

asked the Minister for Agriculture when the Land Commission propose to divide the Fitzgerald estate, Gortnasteal, Gort, County Galway.

The Land Commission are in the process of purchasing these lands but possession has not yet been taken. Accordingly, the question of division does not arise at this stage.

The Land Commission hope to be in a position to include these lands in the 1981-82 allotment programme.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the acreage of land in the possession of the Land Commission in County Galway; the exact location and acreage of each holding; the specific lands that the Land Commission intend to allocate in 1980; and the plans the Land Commission have for land division in 1981.

With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to present the requisite information in a table which will be circulated with the Official Report.

It is hoped that in the cases marked with an asterisk division schemes will be finalised so as to permit of allotment in whole or in part over the next few months.

As preparation of the allotment programme for 1981 has not yet been completed, it is not possible at this stage to indicate what estates may be divided during that year.
