Vol. 324 No. 8

Written Answers. - Farm Modernisation Grant.

320.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the reason a farm modernisation grant has not been paid to a person (details supplied) in County Meath, whose works under the farm modernisation scheme were completed early in summer, 1980, in view of the undertakings given in this matter by himself and his Minister of State.

The applicant is classed as a development farmer and is, therefore, required to keep farm accounts. Payment of the grant cannot be made until the applicant submits the appropriate current extract to confirm that he has in fact kept the necessary accounts.
