asked the Taoiseach the amount and value of vegetables and potatoes imported in 1978 and 1979 and in 1980 to date, stating the type of each item imported and the amount and value of each item for each year.

With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to circulate in the Official Report a statement giving the information requested by the Deputy for the years 1978 and 1979 and for the period January-September 1980, the latest period for which information is available.
