asked the Minister for Industry, Commerce and Tourism (a) the number of firms who have received aid from the IDA each year since 1970; (b) the amount paid to each firm; (c) the number of these firms who remained viable; and (d) the number of failures.
Written Answers. - IDA Aid.
353.
The IDA's Annual Reports, which are laid before the House of the Oireachtas, contain full details of all grants paid to individual firms.
It is not possible in the time available to indicate the number of firms which received grant assistance since 1970 and have closed in the meantime. If the Deputy repeats the question in the next Dáil session I would expect to have relevant data available.
