I hope it will be possible to have the examination which is taking place in my Department on the issues, including financing, affecting the appointment of oral surgeons to be completed fairly shortly. It is intended that the post of orthodontist under the Western Health Board will be advertised as soon as discussions which are currently taking place with the staff organisations have been concluded. I anticipate that this should be early in the New Year.
