andMr. Creed asked the Minister for Education whether he is aware that the post-primary school bus to Bandon from Duggans Cross, Castletown-Kenneigh, County Cork, which has been in operation for the past eight years, has been withdrawn; the reasons for such withdrawal; and whether he will take immediate steps to restore the service which affects 17 children in the area.

The service in question has not been withdrawn. Its route was found to be encroaching on the adjoining Dunmanway catchment area and it had to be curtailed to a point within the Bandon catchment boundary. The children in question may avail themselves of the usual catchment boundary concession.
