(Cavan-Monaghan) asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will give in respect of each of the years 1975 to 1980, inclusive (a) the acreage of land in respect of which the Land Commission served section 40 notices; (b) the acreage of such land which it was decided to acquire; and (c) the acreage of land which the Land Commission divided or allocated in each of those years.

Owing to the time-lag between the issue of section 40 notices and the instituting of acquisition proceedings, the figures in column 3 are not necessarily related to those in column 2 on a year by year basis.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will arrange for the erection of a central agricultural office in Ennis, County Clare to accommodate all agricultural services in the county; and when he proposes to purchase a suitable site.

It is my intention to co-ordinate all local office activity of my Department in County Clare into a single unit in Ennis. The Office of Public Works have been asked to provide suitable accommodation for this purpose as soon as possible.
