Vol. 327 No. 3

Written Answers. - Intervention Scheme Payments.

233.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the amount of money paid to a firm (details supplied) in County Roscommon under the EEC intervention scheme; if any funds are due to the firm; and the amount of meat at present held in storage by this firm.

Payments totalling £3.91 million have been made to the firm out of intervention moneys since it began trading in 1979. A balance of about £43,000 is currently due to the firm. All beef sold into intervention by the firm is the property of the intervention agency.
