There is no record in my Department of an application from the person named. There is, however, an application from a person of a different Christian name at the same address. In this case a grant could not be allowed as the applicant inidcated on the application form that the domestic hot water supply was already being provided by means of a solid-fuel burning range and grants are not payable under the scheme for the replacement of existing solid fuel burning appliances. The applicant was informed accordingly on 2 October 1980.
