Vol. 327 No. 9

Written Answers. - Old Age Pension Payment.

268.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will arrange for the immediate payment of an old age pension to a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

The person concerned has been in receipt of a non-contributory old age pension since 1975. He is currently in receipt of a reduced rate pension.

A deed of transfer of his holding was furnished recently and the rate of pension will accordingly be reviewed by an appeals officer following a re-assessment of his means which will be made by a social welfare officer during the next week.
