Vol. 327 No. 10

Written Answers. - Restoration of Goods.

335.

asked the Minister for Finance the reason the Revenue Commissioners have not restored goods to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry even though the appropriate fines have been paid.

The person concerned was detected in an attempted illegal importation of a quantity of goods at Cork Airport and a £10 deposit was taken in lieu of legal proceedings. In a letter sent to the person on 10 March 1981 the Revenue Commissioners outlined conditions, which, if accepted, will enable the goods to be released.
