Sketch plans for the proposed new National School at Townparks, Skerries, were submitted to the Commissioners of Public Works in March 1980 by the architect engaged by the board of management. Following a discussion over a period an acceptable scheme was received on 19 February 1981 and the reverend chairman was authorised on 9 March, 1981 to have working drawings prepared.
