Vol. 327 No. 10

Written Answers. - County Tipperary Estate.

353.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will indicate the intention of the Land Commission in respect of the Toomey Estate, Drumcliffe. Tipperary; and if he is aware that there are 13 farmers within 1½ miles of each other on the north side of the estate whose average farm size is 35 acres approximately.

The Land Commission have recently inspected this property and are now considering whether the institution of compulsory acquisition proceedings would be warranted. Details of the extent of congestion in the area have been obtained and will be fully considered before a decision is taken on the question of acquisition.
