Vol. 327 No. 11

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Driving Test Fees.

25.

asked the Minister for he Environment whether he proposes to increase the fee payable by applicants for driving tests.

I have no proposals for increasing the rates of fee currently payible by persons applying for the driving test.

I did not hear the Minister's reply.

I have no proposals to increase the fee.

Can the Minister say what sum is in the departmental Estimate this year which it is anticipated will be derived from the driving test fee?

I have not got that information. It is anticipated that the fee will cover the cost of the actual testing. I have not got the amount of money involved.

Is the Minister saying there will be no increase in the driving test fee in the course of 1981?

That is right. That is what I said.
