Vol. 328 No. 1

Written Answers. - Cabra (Dublin) Water Pressure.

45.

asked the Minister for the Environment whether any action is under consideration to improve the water pressure in the Cabra area of Dublin; if he is aware of numerous complaints by community organisations in the area; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The maintenance and improvement of existing public water supplies in Dublin City is primarily a matter for Dublin Corporation. Improvements to the water supply to the Cabra area will be effected on completion of the Liffey Aqueduct Duplication Water Supply Scheme, and I understand from Dublin Corporation that work will be sufficiently advanced to allow improvements in overall water pressures in this area by the summer of this year.
