Vol. 328 No. 2

Written Answers. - Dublin Parking Restrictions.

338.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will outline the parking restrictions at Ballybough Road and Clonliffe Avenue, Dublin; and if he is aware that the footpath is blocked at the Annesley Garage end of Ballybough Road and that the corner at Clonliffe Avenue is regularly masked by cars and trucks which are parked on the footpath.

I am informed by the Garda authorities that a clearway is in operation on portion of Ballybough Road at the usual times but that otherwise there are no special parking restrictions applicable to that road or to Clonliffe Avenue. I am also informed that it is not correct to say that the footpath at the Annesley Garage end of Ballybough Road is generally blocked by vehicles or that the corner at Clonliffe Avenue is regularly masked by vehicles parked on the footpath. I am further informed that breaches of the parking laws which come to notice are dealt with promptly and that the position generally will continue to receive attention.
