Exchequer foreign borrowing is decided from time to time during the year having regard to the Exchequer's financing needs, sales of domestic securities and the position of the external reserves. Therefore, a projected figure for the Exchequer foreign debt at 31 December 1981 is not available. All the above figures relate to Exchequer foreign debt in currencies other than Irish pounds.
