Written Answers. - State Funds to Mayo Company.

asked the Minister for Industry, Commerce and Tourism the amount of State funds from all sources which were given to a company (details supplied) in County Mayo in respect of both capital and revenue expenditure.

In so far as the question relates to the amount of grant assistance paid by the Industrial Development Authority to this company in respect of their County Mayo plant, the information requested is as follows:

Capital Grants, Nil; Training Grants, £84,000; Total, £84,000.

No other grant payments were made to the company in respect of the factory in question by my Department or by any other State agency funded through my Department.

I understand that the company have indicated to the Industrial Development Authority that it is their intention to honour their commitments for the repayment of all grants made.
