the Minister for Industry, Commerce and Tourism the plans the Government have to provide alternative employment for those whose redundancies were recently announced by a company (details supplied) in County Mayo.

The industrial Development Authority have informed me that they are at present in contact with a number of companies, both in Ireland and overseas, with the aim of negotiating an early take-over of the factory in County Mayo referred to by the Deputy.

The IDA have a 4.5 acre industrial site in Ballyhaunis which they are also vigorously promoting for further industrial development.
