These grants will be paid if and when an inspection establishes that the works qualify for grants and have been satisfactorily completed. The inspection will be carried out as soon as possible.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a grant for conversion to solid fuel will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.
As the applicant carried out the work himself a grant could only be allowed if it could be established that materials had been purchased on or before 21 January 1980. The receipt for the purchase of the materials used is dated 11 September 1980, and a grant cannot, therefore, be allowed. The applicant was informed accordingly on 12 March 1981.
