I presume the Deputy is referring to the statement which I made regarding the February live register figures which was issued through the Government Information Services and was not made in Dáil Éireann as the Deputy has suggested in his question. I see no need to amend this statement in the light of the results of the most recent CII/ESRI monthly Industrial Survey and particularly in view of the live register figures for March just released, which confirm the views which I expressed in the statement regarding developments in the unemployment situation.
