There has been no undue delay on dealing with this application. The grant cannot be paid until an inspection establishes that the work has been satisfactorily completed. When last inspected in February 1980 the work was not complete and notification of completion is still awaited from the applicant before a further inspection can be arranged.

Under the solid fuel grants scheme grants are not payable for the replacement of existing solid fuel appliances. In this case the applicant stated in her application that she already had a back boiler and she was notified on 18 September 1980 that a grant could not therefore, be allowed.
