asked the Minister for Education (a) the present position regarding the extension to Oliver Plunkett Vocational School, Longford; (b) if he is aware that an undertaking was given five years ago that this school would get priority; (c) if he is aware that the prefabs at the school are in danger of collapse and that they are also letting in rain; (d) if he is further aware that children have to walk one-and-a-half miles during school hours to another building for certain classes; (e) the date the bill of quantities was sent to his Department; (f) the date it was released from the Department; and (g) when Longford Vocational Education Committee will get sanction to advertise for tenders.

Following the completion of examination of the bill of quantities received in my Department on 23 December 1980, the County Longford Vocational Education Committee were authorised on 3 April 1981 to seek tenders for the extension of Longford Vocational School.
