Vol. 328 No. 8

Written Answers. - Social Welfare Benefit.

194.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare the reason disability benefit which has been due to a person (details supplied) in County Meath since early January 1981 has not been paid although his insurance record is correct and his doctor's certificates have been submitted.

The person concerned claimed disability benefit from 15 December 1980 and all disability benefit and pay-related benefit due from the 18 December 1980, fourth day of incapacity, to 9 February 1981, has been issued. He was certified as fit to resume work on 10 February 1981.

The delay in payment was due to the fact that he failed to quote his RSI number on the medical certificates submitted to my Department after 5 January 1981.
