Vol. 328 No. 9

Written Answers. - Frozen Meat Legislation.

356.

asked the Minister for Health if he will consider introducing legislation to require that meat which has previously been frozen, will be labelled when sold as having been frozen for safety purposes.

I have no specific information which would indicate that meat which had previously been frozen is a particular health hazard and accordingly I do not propose to introduce legislation as suggested by the Deputy.
