This scheme must be considered in the context of the capital available for sanitary services and the large number of schemes in progress or fully approved for which adequate finance must be provided, including the following schemes recently approved in County Galway: Athenry sewerage, Galway city west water supply, Mid-Galway water supply, Ballinasloe water supply improvement.
I cannot indicate at present when I will be in a position to convey a decision to Galway County Council regarding their proposals for the Killimore sewerage scheme, contract documents for which are under consideration in my Department.
