Vol. 328 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Laois Rent Payment.

11.

asked the Minister for Finance why he has refused to pay rent to a landlord (details supplied) in County Laois in respect of offices let to the State, despite many requests for payment; if he has now received notice to quit because of the failure to pay the agreed rent; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Payment of rent to the landlord was delayed pending the execution of a new agreement to include additional rooms in the premises at an increased rent. The new agreement has now been executed by the Commissioners of Public Works and rent due has been paid.
