Vol. 328 No. 11

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take business in the following order: Nos. 8, 9 (resumed), 4, 10 (resumed) and 11 (resumed). Business will be interrupted at 3.30 p.m. to take item No. 11 and the Order will be resumed thereafter.

I should like a written explanation as to why my request for a question on the Adjournment was disallowed yesterday.

We cannot discuss this matter here. The Deputy was informed as to the reason.

I got a highly technical explanation which would be beyond the comprehension of any Member of this House.

We cannot discuss that matter here.

Why is it that we cannot get a written explanation rather than a verbal one?

It has never been the practice to give a written explanation on reasons why matters are not allowed on the Adjournment because, as a rule, there is very little time available.
