asked the Minister for the Environment (a) when the £1,000 new house grant was introduced; (b) the number of applications received each year or part of a year since the grant was introduced; and (c) the number of grants paid each year or part of a year since the grant was introduced.

The £1,000 new house grant scheme was introduced in July 1977. As the other information requested is in the form of a tabular statement, it is proposed, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle to have it circulated with the Official Report.
