asked the Minister for the Environment when a back boiler grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

This application was rejected because it was indicated on the application form that the house had an existing hot water supply from a solid fuel appliance. The applicant has contested the grounds of rejection. The Department's inspector has been asked for a report and a final decision on eligibility will be conveyed to the applicant as soon as this report is received.

300.

asked the Minister for the Environment when the £1,000 new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Wicklow.

The grant will be paid when an inspection establishes that the house has been satisfactorily completed and the other conditions applying to the grant scheme have been complied with.

The inspection will be carried out as soon as possible.
