any change in the status of the research centre at Belclare would be a matter for An Foras Talúntais, who operate it. Some of the land at the centre is part of the former Paley Estate which has been leased by An Foras. The Land Commission acquired the estate in 1979 and when they have provided allotments (some of which may be from land hitherto used by An Foras) for local smallholders, the commission expects to be in a position to continue leasing a suitable area to An Foras.
