Vol. 328 No. 12

Written Answers. - County Wexford Housing Allocation.

301.

asked the Minister for the Environment the money allocated in respect of housing to Wexford Corporation, Enniscorthy Urban District Council, New Ross Urban District Council and the Wexford County Council for 1980.

It is assumed that the question relates to the 1980 allocation of capital for housing, which includes the local authority housing programme, house purchase, construction, low-rise mortgage and improvement loans and supplementary grants. The following are the amounts:—

Local authority

Capital allocation for housing

£

Wexford Corporation

516,000

Enniscorthy Urban District Council

540,000

New Ross Urban District Council

455,000

Wexford County Council

4,427,000

As Wexford County Council operate the loan and grant schemes for the whole county outside the Wexford Corporation area, the allocation to the county council for that purpose includes provision for the urban councils of Enniscorthy and New Ross.
