Vol. 328 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Donegal Welfare Home.

16.

asked the Minister for Health when work will commence on the welfare home at Glenties, County Donegal.

Detailed proposals have not yet been submitted to my Department by the North-Western Health Board in respect of a welfare home in the Glenties area, and it is not possible at this stage to fix a date for the commencement of work on this home.

The Minister is aware of the urgent need for welfare homes, particularly in Killybegs? Will the Minister give the House some indication of when money will be made available?

We are waiting to receive the proposals and when we have the proposals we can see about proceeding with the scheme.

Has the Minister got proposals from the North-Western Health Board?

Has the Minister provided money?

We have, indeed.

Will the Minister kindly reply to Question No. 17?

If the Deputy goes to Buncrana he will see a very modern development there.

(Interruptions.)

Question No. 17, please.
