asked the Minister for the Environment his Department's proposals and plans for a house building programme in the north inner city; and if plans have been sanctioned or are under examination in his Department to build corporation houses there.
Written Answers. - Dublin Corporation Housing.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he is aware of plans by Dublin Corporation to build houses in the Drumcondra-Glasnevin area, Dublin; and if he will ensure that such building will be allocated as requested by the resident associations to small builders for private housing development suitable for newly married couples and that adequate open space will be provided for sporting and recreational purposes.
I presume that the Deputy is referring to the site of 14 acres approximately at Finglas Road, Glasnevin, 10½ acres of which the corporation propose to utilise for housing purposes. I understand from the corporation that while they propose to develop the housing lands for local authority housing mainly, they also intend to make a number of sites available to small builders for private housing purposes. Open space will also be provided. A layout on the above lines is being prepared by the National Building Agency on behalf of the corporation.
