Vol. 328 No. 14

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - County Donegal Pier.

59.

asked the Minister for Fisheries and Forestry the plans he has to develop the pier at Port Inver, County Donegal; and when work will commence.

Approval has been given for harbour development works, at a total cost of £40,000 at the pier at Port Inver. These works are:—

(1) Widening causeway and reinforcing deck of pier and causeway; (2) raising of existing stormwall and provision of new stormwall where causeway has been widened; (3) provision of a boatyard and winch, and (4) provision of a beacon and light on the rock at the entrance to the harbour.

I understand from the Office of Public Works that the works are expected to commence in 1982.
