Vol. 328 No. 14

Written Answers. - Land Registry Applications.

203.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will expedite the application in the Land Registry in respect of documents for persons (details supplied) in County Dublin; whether there is only one examiner in Dublin city to undertake such essential work; and whether he is satisfied that the present staffing arrangements in this respect are adequate.

This is an application for first registration which was lodged in the Land Registry on 25 February 1981. The application is being processed as quickly as possible. Examination of title is not the only factor in cases such as this; mapping and other work are also necessary.

The volume of examination of title work in Dublin has not up to now required more than one Examiner of Titles. However, the volume of work has recently increased and proposals for assigning increased resources to the Dublin region are under consideration.
