Vol. 328 No. 17

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Donegal Housing Schemes.

31.

asked the Minister for the Environment the plans he has for a new housing scheme at Killybegs, County Donegal.

There are no proposals before my Department for a housing scheme at Killybegs, County Donegal.

32.

asked the Minister for the Environment the amount of money allocated in 1981 for (1) SI houses, (2) demountable houses and (3) county council housing schemes in County Donegal.

On 24 April 1981 capital allocations of £2,040,000, £105,000, £35,000 and £130,000 in respect of their local authority housing programme were notified to Donegal County Council, Buncrana Urban District Council, Bundoran Urban District Council and Letterkenny Urban District Council respectively. The allocation notified to Donegal County Council included provision for SI cottages, demountable dwellings and scheme houses. It is a matter for each housing authority to apportion the available capital resources as between the various schemes, SI dwellings and so on, having regard to the relative urgency of need in the various locations within its functional area.

33.

asked the Minister for the Environment the number of SI demountable and council scheme houses started in 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979, 1980 and in 1981 to date in County Donegal.

Details of the numbers of SI demountables and council scheme houses started in the period 1976-1981 in County Donegal are set out in the tabular statement below which I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to have circulated with the Official Report:
