Vol. 330 No. 1

Written Answers. - Newry-Dundalk Road Survey.

585.

asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs the progress that has been made on the Newry-Dundalk road study; and if any EEC assistance towards financing the study will be forthcoming.

Discussions, which are necessary before commencing this study, have been taking place with the European Commission. These discussions are taking place with a view to obtaining Community financial assistance for the carrying out of the study. I am, of course, anxious to ensure the availability of funds for the proposed road study at the earliest possible opportunity.
