asked the Minister for Education if he will arrange for the payment of a higher education grant to a person (details supplied) in Galway.

In accordance with the provisions of the higher education grants scheme a grant may be paid only in respect of one primary degree course and one post-graduate course. The person in question has been paid higher education grant in respect of a primary degree course and a post-graduate course and, accordingly, the extension of the grant being sought in respect of a second post-graduate course may not be sanctioned.
