This grant will be paid shortly. The delay in payment was due to the failure of the applicant to furnish evidence of planning permission.

asked the Minister for the Environment when his Department will pay a house improvement grant to a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath as the house has been inspected.
There is no record of the receipt of an application for a house improvement grant from the person named. An application was however received from a person with a different christian name and the same address and this may be the case in question. This grant will be paid shortly.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a house improvement grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary.
An instalment of a reconstruction grant was paid to the person named in April 1965. Under section 23 of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1979, the latest date for claiming payment of the balance was 31 January 1980. As the applicant did not comply with this requirement the balance cannot be paid.

(Wexford) asked the Minister for the Environment when a reconstruction grant of £900 will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford who applied in 1977.
The application received from the person named was for a new house grant under the old scheme of grants. The balance of £75 due from the special grant of £275 allocated in this case will be paid shortly.

Under the Housing Regulations, 1980, as amended, it is a condition of payment of house improvement grants that a claim for payment be received in the Department on or before 30 June 1981. As this condition was not complied with in this case the grant cannot be paid.
