(Wexford) asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will provide a public telephone kiosk at Ballykelly, New Ross, County Wexford.

The provision of a kiosk at this location is not regarded as warranted at present and it is not proposed therefore to provide one there.

(Wexford) asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will provide a public telephone kiosk at Barrack Village, Tempieudigan, Ballywilliam, County Wexford, in view of the remote nature of that area.

Service cannot be made available until cabling work is completed in the area. It is expected that the cabling work will be completed early next year.

It is proposed to provide a kiosk at Ballyhack as soon as the volume of other work on hands allows of this being done.

It has not been possible to meet this application because there is no suitable cable pair available. The necessary engineering work to enable the application to be met is expected to be completed within the next four months or so. Service will be provided as soon as possible after that.
